Diving the Rainbow Warrior

On Thursday the 3rd of February I took Malachy McGarrigle and Glen Whatmough up to Matauri Bay for a dive on the Rainbow Warrior with Paihia Dive.  It turned out to be a brilliant day.

I took a 40% nitrox mix which was perfect for this shallow wreck dive.
The deepest you can get to on this dive is about 26m on the bottom of the sea floor. Average depth of the dive is around 18-22m.

I had two 70 minute dives without any decompression requirements.
The visibility was quite good and there was no discernable current.

This wreck offers a beautiful dive and I can’t wait to dive it again once I’ve completed my re-breather training.
